Such fees may take the form of a paper receipt e.g. a stamp. Anything which facilitates such a dispatch aver a distance not normally carried personally between a sender and a recipient. This may include the accoutrements of a mail runner or delivery agent, or a mechanised process, such as pneumatic post across a city.
